    KAPTAGAT FOREST RESTORATION

    Environment and Forestry Cabinet Secretary Deborah Barasa has called on Kenyans to support President Ruto's target of planting 15 billion trees by the year 2032. Speaking in Kapchorwa in Elgeyo Marakwet county during the 9th edition of Kaptagat Forest Conservation, Barasa underscored the importance of the Forest Management Act in protecting these vital resources. She revealed that 90% of the Kaptagat Forest has been restored, leading to improvements in the community's livelihoods. President William Ruto is expected to preside over the main event tomorrow.
