The Media fraternity has demanded action against the abduction of veteran journalist Macharia Gaitho this morning at Karen Police station. Gaitho who was with his son during the ordeal said he drove to the Karen Police Station to seek refuge after an unmarked car with unknown individuals trailed him from his home. Journalists staged protests in Nakuru and Thika following the attack on a Nakuru-based journalist attached to Mediamax. As Giverson Maina now reports, the Independent policing oversight authority has vowed to investigate the matter and bring the culprits to book.
