Following the disbandment of the dci special service unit on Saturday, human rights activists under the police reforms working group are demanding a judicial and parliamentary inquiry to be established, to investigate and prosecute members of the unit on alleged involment in extrajudicial killings, abductions, enforced disappearances and extortion. The group further urged the government to appoint a national coroner to independently investigate all questionable deaths in Kenya.
