At least fifteen illegal pubs have been shut down in Ngong’s Kamura village following a security crackdown. A multi-agency team raided the 24-hour drinking spots that had continued to operate despite lacking valid licenses. The outlets, previously closed in 2013, had reopened under unclear circumstances. Authorities say the pubs had turned the residential village into a drunk neighborhood. Two youth deaths linked to alcohol abuse have been reported.
