The two, Allan Amata, a businessman from Kakamega County, and Valary Jerop, a teacher based in Mogotio, were arraigned at the Eldama Ravine Law Courts on charges of allegedly obtaining over 10 million shillings from individuals by falsely promising them permanent teaching jobs through the Teachers Service Commission. They were released on A bond of 3 million shillings or an alternative cash bail of 1.5 million shillings . The court also ordered the suspects to surrender their travel documents and report to THE DCI offices in Mogotio every Friday until the case is heard and determined. According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, 21 complainants recorded statements in January and February this year.
