Armed gang attacks Nyalenya police post in Mumias West, Kakamega; one officer killed, three injured

Tension is high in Mumias West, Kakamega County, kakamega county following a daring attack at Nyalenya police post by six armed men who killed a police officer and left three others nursing gunshot wounds. The gang of six arrived at the police post at around 9 pm using motorbikes. They headed straight to the reporting desk and claimed that their motorbike had been stolen. Minutes later, they opened fire and took off with two G3 rifles, each loaded with 20 rounds of ammunition. Police have launched a hunt for the suspects who remain at large
