Armed robber steals KSh100,000 phone from Ruaka salon

In what appears to be a case of escalating insecurity in Nairobi and its outskirts, police in Ruaka are investigating a brazen daylight robbery in which an armed assailant stormed a salon and made away with a phone worth more than KSh100,000 belonging to a staff member. The Friday afternoon incident has left residents uneasy, raising questions about the growing boldness of armed gangs operating in populated areas and evading police arrest. Gatete Njoroge reports.
