Learning can now resume in public universities after lecturers signed a return to work agreement with the government, ending their 49-day strike. The deal will see the government cough up some 7.9 billion shillings in two tranches beginning in December this year. As Joseph Wakhungu now reports, the dons are cautioning the government that they will turn their backs on lecture halls at the slightest attempt by the state to undermine the agreement.
