Bagetti: Claiming her place among Afrobeats' royalty - BBC Africa

Shining star Bagetti is the first female to be signed to Da Prince’s Jonzing World label, the power behind top Afrobeats stars including Rema and Ruger, and she's a force to be reckoned with. Her highly waited EP, “New Dawn” brings six tracks that travel between different styles, like R&B, Afrobeats and pop. And the title of the record hints at how the artist is aware that she’s come into the scene to make a difference. Her debut single, ‘Hard Girl’, has been defined bas a “hip-grinding track that re-explores what typically makes up a break-up song”.
