Bitok calls for joint action to curb rising school unrest

    School unrest continues to be experienced in most parts of the country, with hundreds of students sent home and schools closed. While acknowledging that the trend is worrying, Basic Education Principal Secretary Julius Bitok called on all education stakeholders to work closely with security agencies in order to avert crisis in schools. The PS maintained that the Ministry is firm on ensuring the safety of learners and school infrastructure. Prof Bitok said parents have a big role to play in taming indiscipline among learners.
