Bobi Wine: ' I’m still relevant to Uganda’s youth' - BBC Africa
The Ugandan musician turned opposition leader Bobi Wine says he is still relevant to Uganda’s youth, as he vows to stand again against Yoweri Museveni in the 2026 presidential elections. Mr Museveni has been in power since 1986 - one of the world’s longest standing national leaders. Mr Wine positions himself as the voice of the younger generation eager for change, and despite being jailed, attacked and shot at, he says he feels there’s no choice but to challenge what he alleges is a system riddled with corruption. BBC Africa’s Victoria Uwonkunda spoke to him for the Africa Daily podcast.
