Boniface Mwangi: Activist's claim of sexual torture in Tanzania detention - BBC Africa
Boniface Mwangi, a Kenyan human rights activist, and Agather Atuhaire, a Ugandan activist, were detained for several days in Tanzania. Since their release, the pair have spoken on how they were sexually tortured by Tanzanian security officers. Boniface Mwangi spoke to BBC Newsday’s James Copnall on how he was detained for trying to expose the case of a Tanzanian opposition election candidate. The Tanzanian authorities deny the allegations.
