Broad-based leaders step up Ruto re-election campaign

Broad-based government leaders are stepping up campaigns for President William Ruto’s re-election in 2027, pointing to his development record and what they describe as growing support across the country, including within ODM. The leaders also took aim at former President Uhuru Kenyatta, whom they accused of sponsoring the opposition. The push comes as Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi tours Western Kenya, urging the Mulembe community to back Ruto in 2027.
