Brussels Airlines re-introduces passenger flights on Brussels-Nairobi route
Belgian national carrier Brussels Airlines has re-introduced passenger flights on the Brussels-Nairobi route in a plan that looks set to connect passengers from the European nation to Kenya’s capital.
The carrier, a subsidiary of Lufthansa Group will fly on the route six times per week during summer period and four times per week during winter season.
The airline, which stopped operating on the route in 2015 will deploy an Airbus A320 type of aircraft on the route.
“We see a very high interest in our home market Belgium to explore Kenya. Our first flights to Nairobi are completely full. Nairobi is a vibrant city and the perfect gateway for an unforgettable trip to Kenya. The other way around we offer connections to Europe and beyond via Brussels to let Kenyans explore the world, study, or grow their businesses,” said the airline’s CEO Dorothea von Boxberg, in a statement yesterday.
