As President William Ruto is expected to visit Busia County tomorrow for the launch of development projects, mixed reactions continue to emerge from residents and leaders in the area urging that the projects should not be used for personal political gain. Speaking to journalists in Busia County, a coordinator of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in the county, George Ogando, called on politicians not to use the projects for self-promotion but instead allow them to benefit the intended citizens. Ogando also lamented the low level of development in Busia County for a long time, citing politics as one of the reasons the region has remained behind in terms of development.
