Business owners in Ahero town Kisumu county are living in fear that buildings in the town might collapse if the ongoing floods persist. Already they're counting losses after their property was swept away by floods witnessed two days ago after river Nyando burst its banks. Elsewhere, residents of Uthiru 87 which borders Nairobi and Kiambu counties, woke up to disbelief after a section of land was washed away by mudslides. This even as the parliamentary committee on budget okayed the use of as much funds as possible in tackling flood emergencies.
