Embu County Commissioner, Jack Obuo, has recommended that the National and County Government agree beforehand on the approval process for construction of affordable houses to avoid delays in implementation. He says the requirement in the draft Affordable Housing Fund regulations that county governments must get consent from county assemblies before approving construction might be a bottleneck in the implementation of the program. He was speaking at the Embu Talent Academy during a public participation forum on the proposed Affordable Housing Fund regulations.
