Cancer survivors advise Kenyans to embrace early cancer screening

Kenyans have been urged to embrace the culture of early cancer screening to enhance treatment outcomes. Data shows that over 70% of cancer cases in Kenya are diagnosed in the late stages, a situation that has been associated with fear of stigma and lack of knowledge on the importance of early screening. During the second national cancer summit held in Nairobi, cancer survivors who spoke to KBC emphasized the need for early screening and more civic education to stem stigma.
