Herders from Ndumuru area in Igembe North Meru County are counting losses after their livestock were shot dead in a crossfire between cattle rustlers and National Police Reservist officers. During the crossfire, 7 cattle and 3 goats were shot dead while 11 cattle were wounded. One herder was left nursing injuries on his left hand.
