The East Africa School Games football semifinals match between Musingu and Jobo was abandoned in the second half after fans invaded the pitch at the Bukhungu Stadium. Jobo had taken the lead in the 15th minute through a Stephen Mwalati penalty. But five minutes to the end of the match, Marvin Ashihundu scored the equaliser and the fans invaded the pitch in celebration. Efforts to clear the pitch bore no fruit, and the match was abandoned with the scores at 1-1.
