A section of civil society groups have rejected the nomination of DPP Noordin Haji to be Director General of the National Intelligence Service. The groups under the umbrella national integrity alliance say Haji contravened the constitution by letting politically instigated cases withdrawn. They want the president to rescind his nomination and present a new candidate for the NIS post even as they vowed to petition his removal as DPP on Monday.
