Civil society organizations under the Okoa Uchumi campaign have dismissed President William Ruto’s recent apology to Gen Z, describing it as vague and lacking genuine accountability. The activists are now calling for the Head of State to be held fully responsible for the deaths and kidnappings of Gen Z protesters during and after the anti-government demonstrations that climaxed on June 25th, 2024.
