A gathering of churches of Kenya clergy on Saturday morning led a solemn interdenominational prayer service for peace ahead of the planned June 25th demonstrations. The gathering brought together church leaders, youth, and bereaved families in remembrance of lives lost during last year’s protests. Calls to action for justice and healing dominated the service which the clergy said sought to unify the nation in prayer and reflection, while urging young people not to resort to violence and hooliganism during the protests to mark the one-year anniversary of the Gen-Z protests on Wednesday.
