There was drama during a church service in Meru as congregants took to the streets, voicing their concerns on the church’s leadership. Members from the PCEA Igoki South Parish in Imenti North accused the Reverend of intimidation, mistreatment, and mismanagement of church resources. Waving placards, the disgruntled members declared that they would not permit him to enter the church premises and would reject any elders appointed by him. According to the congregation, they have generously contributed resources to the parish but with little to show. The faithful have now pledged to withhold financial contributions until their grievances are addressed and order is restored within the church community.
