Controller of Budget raises red flag over ballooning debt

The Controller of Budget is now raising concerns over a ballooning debt in the country as a result of continued local and foreign borrowing. Margaret Nyakango told parliament that the country’s budget continues to suffer strains due to heavy repayments, drawn from the exchequer. The controller of budget was appearing before the National Assembly’s debts and privatisation committee.
