Countries urged to invest in medical infrastructure

The latest COVID-19 update shows Kenya recorded 342,810 positive cases and 5,688 deaths. According to the Ministry of Health, the situation could have been worse, had the population not adhered to public containment measures. Discussions to prepare for unforeseen events such as pandemics came up at the World Economic Forum, and countries have been urged to implement lessons learnt from covid-19 in readiness for any disaster that may arise.
