Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is free of the burden of a Ksh 7 billion graft case. The anti - corruption court dropped charges against the Deputy President on recommendations made by the prosecution. The case had been pending heating for 15months. Senior Principal Magistrate Victor Wakumile reprimanded the directorate of criminal investigations and the office of the director of public prosecutions for taking the court through a half-baked case. Wakumile recommended an independent office of a pre-trial judge be established to weigh criminal cases before they are taken for trial.
