Through working with the SAGOMA Community-Based Organisation (CBO), to sensitise the youth on the importance of education, Samwel Ouru now boasts of a drastic reduction of crime in the area, which was previously a black spot of crime marked with burglary, drug, and substance abuse among the youth. By focusing on the vulnerable youths in the society, a total of 120 youths have benefited from the initiative, with the majority being self-employed, thanks to the close relationship with the local administration. However, with the evolving world, he now calls on the government and well-wishers to support his dream of having a sustainable Technical Training Institute offering ICT courses to equip the youths with digital skills.
