Kenya's Digital Superhighway Milestones
A new initiative to track the implementation of the Nairobi declaration has been formed in a bid to help African Countries fast-track digital integration. Information Communication and Digital economy cabinet secretary William Kabogo says a team of ICT experts drawn from around African will help coordinate the implementation of programmes and projects under the document which was the outcome of the 2024 Connected Africa Summit in Nairobi. The rollout of the 7 thematic areas under the Nairobi Declaration has been rocked by funding problems and lack of coordination among member countries. The CS spoke to O’Brien Kimani on the sideline of the ongoing Connected Africa Summit 2025 in Diani, Kwale County.
