CS Ogambo urges university lecturers to call off strike and resume teaching

Education Cabinet Secretary Dr Julius Ogamba has appealed to university lecturers to end their ongoing strike and resume teaching, emphasising the government’s goodwill in addressing their grievances. He said the government has already demonstrated commitment by settling arrears amounting to Ksh7.7 billion and initiating talks on the 2025–2029 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Dr Ogamba urged the lecturers to allow learning to continue as discussions on the new CBA proceed.
