DP Gachagua addresses UN Food Summit on financing food systems in Africa

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is calling for a review of the existing financial systems for the agricultural sector in Africa. While addressing a High-Level Session on Financing Food Systems Transformation during the ongoing United Nations Food Systems Summit in Rome, Italy, the Deputy President said the current system has failed to benefit African countries. He added that the continent continues to face challenges frustrating agricultural production, as he called for favourable funding systems for the sector.
