DP Kindiki and Treasury CS John Mbadi defend e-procurement amid MPs’ resistance

    Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki has chaired the 13th Development Partnership Forum at his official residence in Karen, Nairobi. During the meeting, Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi dismissed parliament’s directive that sought to block his order requiring all government officers to adopt the new e-procurement system, insisting that parliament has no power to overturn a government directive. Mbadi warning that those opposing the system are individuals whose shortcuts in securing contracts have now been sealed, and the e-procurement system will be fully implemented to curb misuse of public funds
