Director of Public Prosecutions Renson Ingonga has warned politicians and individuals accused of fuelling political tensions and engaging in political goonism that no one will be spared in a crackdown on hate speech, inflammatory remarks and violence ahead of the 2027 General Election. Ingonga said those found inciting violence or undermining peace will face the full force of the law, as authorities intensify efforts to safeguard national cohesion during the heightened political season. His warning comes amid increased political activity across the country, with law enforcement agencies urging leaders and their supporters to uphold peace and avoid actions that could destabilise the nation. Willy Lusige reports.
