The Director of Public Prosecutions, Renson Ingonga, has warned politicians against hate speech and the use of goons at political gatherings across the country, saying those responsible will face the full force of the law. Speaking in Mombasa, Ingonga said incidents of organised violence at political events are becoming increasingly common. He assured Kenyans that the relevant agencies are ready to enforce the law, restore order and hold offenders accountable. Meanwhile, Chief Justice Martha Koome said the National Council on the Administration of Justice (NCAJ) has activated all its committees to begin preparations for the next General Election after receiving a report from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairperson, Erastus Ethekon.
