    The BBC has gained rare access to a mine in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, to speak to workers about conditions there. The mine contains 15% of the world’s coltan deposits - an ore essential in manufacturing many electronics, including smartphones. Eastern DRC has been riven by conflict between the Congolese army and M23 rebels, but a recent US-brokered peace deal struck between Rwanda and the DRC is bringing an end to the fighting. Donald Trump says the deal could also lead to American investment in Congolese mines.
