The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission in Collaboration with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations is zeroing in on Politicians from the western region who are believed to be behind the alleged malicious damage and theft during a raid at the residence of the Trans Nzoia Governor, George Natembeya, on Monday. Already, 14 people have been arrested in connection with the damage, and the commission said a number of politicians mentioned adversely are on its radar. EACC Chairperson Dr David Oginde says that the protestors intended to destroy evidence in the alleged irregular procurement and fictitious payments of 1.4 Billion Shillings case against the Governor and other county officials.
