EACC probes ‘grabbing’ of 5 acres of land in Karen worth Ksh400M

    The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) is investigating the alleged fraudulent acquisition of public property situated in Karen, Nairobi. The land measuring 5.12 acres, belonging to Nairobi County Government, is in the hands of private developers who are demanding 1.28 Billion shillings compensation from the County Government. According to EACC Deputy CEO Abdi Mohamud, the land worth 400 Million Shillings was reserved for sewerage works and staff housing and is still being used by the Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company as a sewerage pond.
