EACC raises alarm over integrity of Kenya’s education system, attributes the mess to corruption

    The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission EACC has raised concerns over legislative proposals it says will water down the Conflict of Interest Bill 2023 that is seeking to bar public officers from trading with the government. Speaking at the International Anti Corruption Day 2023 in Muranga, EACC Chairperson Dr David Oginde further noted the move could cripple the commissions’ effort in fighting corruption. As Abdiaziz Hashim now reports, EACC CEO Twalib Mbarak says Kenya’s Education system is on the verge of losing it credibility globally if unchecked due to cases of exam Cheating and the rise of fake academic papers attributed to corruption.
