EACC summons 8 Nakuru officials over Ksh 22M legal fees scandal

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission has summoned eight current and former Nakuru county chief officers over alleged misuse of public funds. County Attorney Caleb Nyamwange and Public Service Chief Officer Charles Koech will be the first to face questioning, as the EACC probes the alleged irregular payment of over 22 million shillings to private law firms. The move comes just three days after Governor Susan Kihika was put to task by the Senate Public Accounts Committee over misappropriation claims.
