Sosio-Cheptarit forest in Trans Nzoia County was once a a battle ground between forest encroachers and the Kenya Forest Rangers. The plantation that was once a confrontation point has regenerated and is now a source of livelihood. Our reporter Fredrick Parsayo toured the forest and filed a two part feature story on how the human rights based approaches are being used to bring the communities on board in conserving and restoring the forest.Here is the first part
