In the wake of increasing complaints over shrinking payslips for salaried workers due to piling deductions, notably the new health insurance scheme, a two-day workshop that brought together health officials from all 47 counties has resolved to urge Kenyans to support the new scheme, even as the teething challenges experienced are addressed. The stakeholders, however, agree that medical costs in the country are becoming unbearable for most Kenyans.
