Energy PS defends ministry over excess staff audit queries

Principal Secretary for Energy Alex Wachira has defended the Ministry of Energy against audit queries over excess staff, telling Parliament that the State Department has done everything within its legal mandate to address the issue. Appearing before the Public Accounts Committee, Wachira insisted that the hiring and redeployment of public officers are decisions made by the Public Service Commission and other government agencies, not the ministry itself.
