Finance Bill public hearings begin across counties

The Public Participation exercise for the 2026 Finance Bill to be held in all the 47 counties commenced earlier today in Kiambu, Wajir and Vihiga Counties. This follows the end of two weeks stakeholders forum that saw over 200 entities from the Finance, Commerce, Industry, Banking, Trade & Telecommunications Industry among others, submit their oral memoranda. Consequently, up to 100,000 written submissions have been received by the National Assembly Finance Committee presiding over the hearings
