Floods submerge homes displacing hundreds of families

More than 1,000 households in Busia, Kirinyaga, and Homa Bay counties have been displaced by floods in the last 24 hours as heavy rains pound various parts of the country. Several houses were marooned and roads rendered impassable in Budalangi, Karachuonyo, and Ndia constituencies following days of heavy rains. The Kenya Red Cross Society has set up camps in the affected regions to support the displaced families.
