Ex-Mungiki leader Maina Njenga has been released on a 50,000 shillings cash bail by a Nakuru Court after he pleaded not guilty to 7 charges leveled against him including engaging in criminal activities linked to the Mungiki sect. Njenga was released on conditions including not making utterances to the media or the public regarding the case. As Maryanne Nyambura reports, police clashed with Njenga’s supporters within the Nakuru CBD.
