Former West Pokot Governor John Lonyangapuo has appealed to the government to change strategy in handling the emerging banditry issues in the north rift region despite the deployment of security personnel.Lonyangapuo raised concerns over the recent killings along the border of West Pokot and Turkana Counties. He noted that the menace has affected the implementation of development projects in the region. He reiterated that the government should conduct a peaceful disarmament in the region and engage warring communities through dialogue.
