A section of elected leaders from the Mt Kenya region allied to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, have urged the DP not to be distracted by naysayers whose main agenda is to fight him politically. Speaking in Kirinyaga during a burial ceremony, the leaders called on the region to be united saying unity is their greatest strength. The deputy president now says that in the 7 days, he was nowhere to be seen, he had gone to the mountain to fast and pray.
