Gachagua’s lawyers challenge impeachment process, cite constitutional violations

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s lawyers have told the court that the impeachment process violated the constitution. The advocates questioned what they termed a rushed public participation process that was conducted in a record two days. The lawyers want the court to quash the decision by the Senate to remove the former deputy president from office through impeachment.
