Godwin Asediba has won the 2025 edition of the BBC News Komla Dumor Award. The investigative journalist and news anchor with TV3 and 3FM stations in Accra impressed the judges with his deep commitment to journalism and storytelling - beating more than 120 applicants to clinch the prize. Now in its tenth year, the BBC News Komla Dumor Award was created to honour Komla Dumor, a former BBC presenter who died suddenly in 2014 at the age of 41. The winner spends three months at the BBC in London and then is deployed to report on a story they have pitched.
