The government has admitted to major donors pulling out of funding for major programs such as immunization, malaria, and HIV/AIDS among others but dismissed fears of a possible health crisis. According to government spokesperson Isaac Mwaura, under the office of the deputy president, a process of identifying and engaging development partners is underway to avert the detrimental effects. It is also emerging that roads that were affected by floods could take longer to be repaired despite declarations from top government officials that they were to be immediately worked on.
